are the FAL fans a more generic mod...what i mean is will they work on my 03 or do they have specific connectors to the year of truck they were originally bought for...(sorry if this is a dumb question)

holsinger17, according to www.summitracing.com (http://www.summitracing.com), these fans are listed for the gen 2s.

According the Flex-a-lite: Flex fans are designed to give you maximum airflow at low RPM and reduced engine load at high RPM. Less resistance at highway speeds equates to more horsepower and better gas mileage.

These were both used on a gen 1... the only thing you may need to consider is the spacer.... may need and different size. I went with the flex fan because my clutch fan was bad and I couldn't afford and electric!

That throttle body has the throttle cam on it... they changed that in 91, so just make sure it will work... it uses a different length TV and throttle cable.

I don't need a TV cable (manual) and need a new throttle cable anyhow. Thanks for the heads up.

I got the parts today. Thank you very much Tink!!

You asked me to check the TB, all I see that's not there is the IAC but I can use the one I have or just get a new one.

BTW, do you have kero heat in your garage? The boxs smells like K-1...haha

Yeah, I had taken the IAC out to use on the throttle body that was on the Blazer.

Yup, we use kerosene in the garage... didn't think the scent would last through all that...

Do you know the part number for the headers/y-pipe? I'm trying to see if it'll fit my 95 4.3L TBI M5.
With the heads, all that is needed once thrown on in the place of the stockers is fluids?
Would it be beneficial at all to run the double roller timing chain on a basically stock motor?

Trade ya' a Fluid-Damper and a little cash for the headers.

Very Sorry, I had a moment of clarity (or maybe insanity?) and decided to keep the rest of this stuff and rebuild the bottom end of that 4.3L. Thought I had posted that, but it must have been in the parting out thread...
