Everyone was okay, besides back and neck pain at least in my poor little blazer. I am quite sad I dont know if I should pay off the loan and get another and start all the way over or move on. It really feels like a death in the family. I planned on keeping it until I died as childish as that sounds i really liked it a lot. Well guys I have to find my receipts for all my mods to claim to their insurance. Appreciate all the posts

Naw it's not childish. I'd feel the same way if anything ever happened to my truck. I plan on keeping it forever. Even if I have to completely rebuild it from the frame up. When you spend enough time and money on something it kind of becomes a part of who you are. Good luck with everything I hope it all works out for you. Keep us informed. :-]

Was the accident your fault? Did you get a police report?
And did you get an attorney? You could get a nice settlement out of this

And the grand total for all my mods not including rims is $5291.01

No the accident was not my fault, I was going about 50-60 on a country road and the guy had a stop and I didnt and he pulled out in front of me. I smashed the brakes as hard as I could but I felt two pulsations in my foot from the abs by the way brand new ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors (zinc coated) 2k on them all the way around. The next thing I knew Was I saw the airbag deflated and smoke and looked around jumped out and went to the passenger side to get my girlfriend out and make sure she was okay. Girlfriend has a leg bruise and back and neck pain as do I. The people had their 3 children in the back fortunately he didnt get out any farther or that would have been horrible. I know its only a car and I am very happy no one was seriously hurt but man is it ever depressing. I did just buy a 95 t/a with 90 k and a cam in it but i just cant dump on the s series.
Im not going to work tomorrow and I have a set of 18" rims with brand new tires on them for sale if anyone is interested. Tags still on the tires. Wheels are used not one bend in them and have never seen salt or snow.

you are lucky they arent getting you with anything even if its not your fault. i had a situation where i was in my father in laws truck and some guy ran a stop sign in front of me and they tried to blame me and get me for speeding when there was no proof. and yeah i know how you feel about it being a part of you. thats how i am with my truck. and thats how i was with the cavi we rolled. it wasnt even mine but i cried when i saw the car afterwards. it sucks. glad you are all ok. and as bad as it sucks, you cant change what happened and cars can be replaced, people cant.

Damn that sucks hope your doin good. Your truck looks nice well considering. Looks like you kept it in great shape. Oh and if your frame isnt bent I would def cosider buying it back. It should save you alot even though the parts will be costly. I was offered money for the cost of the truck, instead I took it in for an estiment they cut me a check and fixed it my self. Kept half the money lol.

Honestly ill probly let her go, The motor mounts were broke and the engine got pushed back, battery was crushed, and i have no idea what the 6al looks like i didnt rip it all open. I dont like the air bag dust everywhere so we will see what happens. as far as something else i dont know. I have two other cars a 95 t/a and a 98 tacoma so I have stuff to drive until i decide what to do. I graduate college next month. maybe save for a 2009 camaro and get rid of my Trans am. I dont know Its 230 and I cant sleep because my poor car has to be in an impound lot. anyway WOW You guys are great I apprreciate all the positive comments and appreciate all of you caring. I will get more pics up once i go to recover my stuff from it. I will let you all know what the insurance adjuster will have to say. guys have a great night I am really sore so I wont be going to work tomorrow.

sorry bro.. I cryed for you thats a bad ass hood too
xtremeblzer2002
11-26-07, 08:42 AM
Yeah it was 844 for the hood plus paint but it was functional ram air. Its ruined though, the brackets ripped the fiberglass were the mounts are and the hood latch ripped out the steel reinforcement you can kind of see it in the picture.

It just sux that all your pride and hard work that went into it just got prety much wiped out on a matter of seconds.
I hope you get it all worked out for the best. But most importantly I hope you and your girl are not going to have to deal with any after effects physically or any legal things.
My buddys GF was sitting at a gas station a month ago in line to get fuel. A guy came out and got into a truck, backed out of the parking space and into the left rear of her car. It was just a Scion TC but it was her 1st new car and she was steadily making payments. I think it was a 2005. But it was nearly spotless. She works and goes to college too. But now the car still isnt fixed because the guy changed his story and is saying its her fault. So they may have to go to traffic court. Meanwhile shes driving around with a big dent in the side. Its rediculous. Especially since he said it was his fault in the 1st place, the cop determined it was his fault, and it definately was his fault!!
But hopefully it all goes smoothly for you...as it possibly can.

Im in Noblesville Just north of indy
Yea we have a witness, he admitted its his fault, and the police I think cited it his fault so it should be okay. Hopefully. Im not sure what I will get. S series or V series... CTS-V series

Are you going to part the truck out?
If the intake is in good condition i would be interested!
Unless its specific to the hood you have.

The new CTS is pimp. But they havent released the V yet. The last year model IMO is a little squary inside. But Id take a V-series any day!

Really sorry to hear about your blazer. Keep us posted on how it works out and what you decide to replace it with.
And I agree, that's one of the best looking ram air hoods I've seen. What brand is it?

Suncoast they sell them on their website. I think its like 650 on their site But when I got it i paid 844 pricey but it made a huge difference.
also they do have the cts-v out it came out in 04 and had the 5.7 and in 06 they put the 6.0 in it. My house is really empty feeling though could sure use my blazer I got it to 15.9 in the 1/4
when i talked to a guy at the other guys insurance i read off my list and halfway through he was like how much is the total and how much more It was funny because i was only half way through. Ill keep you guys posted new pics possibly today.
Brock
Ill probly let them take it I dont have any place to part it out. but then again it depends on what they say and what the buyback cost would be. I do believe the engine got pushed back which as we all know just has a domino effect on everything.
