Has anyone had to cut and modify the front engine crossmember?

HAD TO NOTCH TOP & BACK HALF OF CROSSMEMBER FOR OIL PAN CLEARANCE NOW THAT I INSTALLED A MID PLATE NEED TO TAKE A LITTLE MORE OUT SO WERE JUST GOING TO CUT OUT STOCK CENTER OF CROSSMEMBER AND REPLACE IT WITH TUBING & GUSSETS

I'm sure he's talking about the crossmember under the engine.. the one that the lower control arms connect to. I'm also sure he's cuttin it for oil pan clearance.

I think as long as its not where the bend is, and you weld back in a peice of steel youre OK. Just depends on the structure keeping rigid.
