02 Blazer Extreme?

Hey all.

i just joined the site and so far there is some really good info. i am curious though if the rear quarter plastic that goes around the rear window can still be found. i ask because i am looking at purchasing a white 02 with 55000 miles but the plastic is in real bad shape.

The plastic on them just seems to do that i have had two xtreme blazers sadly one is dead just recently since sunday, but my plan was to pull the plastic off and fill in the pits prime and paint them black. Its some work but a nice touch that may make you feel better. or you could always go and buy new ones from the dealer, maybe ebay has used ones you could buy and paint and stuff and then just swap them when your ready, feel free to ask any questions ive had some fun exploring and many of the guys on here are a great help when it comes to problems

also your back hatch will probably be rusty where the latch is, its a blazer thing, take it off and use some auto marine clear silicone and put it back on, I painted mine so it looked nice again but just a simple fix for you

From what I know, OEMs must make replacement pars available for 10 years after a vehicle is produced. So you should be able to buy them new if you want. Are they just faded? There are some good ways to restore them if so. If they're cracked or badly scratched, then you'd probably have to do the other suggestions.

I had the same faiding rubbers on mine to. I used some Mothers back to black and well they tured black again. It might take a couple coats to condition it again. If you have those streaks on your window from the rubber seals rubbin the glass you can fix that the same way.

Thanks alot guys. yeah they are cracked real bad and just make it look real bad. fortunatly a friend of mine that works for GM can get them to me for $43.00 dollars a side wich doesnt seem to bad. FYI i am purchasing the Blazer tonight. this site will come in handy for sure. in the next year i will be picking some of your brains on fueling a boosted 4.3 i plan on building my own Single turbo kit for my extreme. i have built a few now and will soon be stocking several kits in my shop for the SBC, SBF, and the LSx engines for cars and trucks.
