abs prob?

last nite on my way home from work i noticed my bat. lite would come on at idle and go out when it went over 900rpm, but the volt gauage would stay at 14-15v. Not overly concerned with this problem as its done it a couple of times and it always starts fine.

however last nite when ever the abs kicked in all the dash lites would go out the gauges dropped to zero and the engine would almost die. All grounds and connections seem to be ok,
anyone experence this? or have any suggestions on what to check.

could be a bad alternater or power source.....x blazer do the stalling out thing on me and wouldnt start its first sympton of a bad alt was it trying to die when i would chage gears from neutral to drive/reverse... it got to the point to where i had to almost rev the motor to switch gears....

Sounds like a bad regulator in the alt and in result killed your battery.

tested have 12v at bat. when i turn key on nothing happens no dash lights or gauges no interior light no park lights absoultly nothing comes on. Think bad connection at starter or blown fuse link. Everything worked fine when i parked it last nite other than trying to die when abs on and the low rpm bat. light.

ok if i disconnect the wire that goes from the alt. to the bat. junction box at the junction box i've got 12v there but when hooked up i only got 2v. once fingers warm up i'm gonna start disconnecting wires one by one from the junction box to see if it'll go back up to 12v.

WHOO HOOO i fixed it, didn't matter what i left hooked up a batt. junction box it droped to 2v so i went and took my batt. connections off again and they looked alittle corroided so i cut the rubber off the terminal end and i found it was very corroided inside there. Changed cable end and its gooder now.

In hindsight i coulda avoided messing around if i would have remebered to check voltage drop across the batt. terminals right off the bat.
