erry Christmas all. Enjoy the holidays with your families. Remember how your face used to light up Christmas morning when you were a child and how all of the gifts meant so much to you. What were some of your favorite gifts as a child?

Yeah I was up a little earlier but not like they were when under 10.Just trying out the new 19 inch flat screen!!

Up at 7:00 -- too darn early! But, the boys got a TON of stuff and Assembly Man is hard at work!

If anyone has younger kids, I suggest Fisher Price Rescue Heroes. They're fire fighters, police officers, rescue personnel, etc. REALLY cool! Even my 7 year old gets into them. Of course, we also had a few Star Wars things as well -- but the younger ones don't keep track of them all that well, so they were fewer in number this year.

19" flat screen, huh? Computer? Must be nice! Of course, when you start getting old and blind you need those bigger monitors! LMFAO!

Let's see. . . Christmas stuff. . . New Infinity home audio speakers (Primus line, but still very nice. . . 360, C25, OWS-1, PS12 -- full system that sounds INCREDIBLE). New DVD-R/VCR combo (Toshiba -- really nice as well). New HP scanner and printer, new digital camera/camcorder, and a few other things (video games, laptop case, new razor, etc.). . . And those are just Daddy's toys. Mommy: new 1/3CT diamond ring and a pearl necklace/earring combo. First time I've seen my wife cry for joy in a long while. Needless to say, Christmas was a bit pricey this year -- but WELL worth it!

Oh, yeah, I forgot the most important of Daddy's toys: A/F and boost gauges with dual, full-pillar gauge pod for the truck. And, the best of all: a new BLOWER! The Wynjammer is on it's way -- should be here by New Year's! I can't wait -- 7 psi (hopefully) kit. I've got the Dyne mostly uninstalled -- still need to remove the crank pulley and FMU. Haven't driven it in almost a month and am starting to go into SERIOUS withdrawal. . .

But, I've babbled long enough. . .

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Oh, yeah, I forgot the COOLEST one of all: an S-10 die-cast. It's got BAGS! Push on it and it lowers -- push on it again and it goes back to "normal" height! WAY cool! I'll post a couple pics as soon as I figure the camera out!

Yeah I didnt like the old BIG monitor and love this new one where I can see clearly now without the air of glasses. Dont even want to need them and now it moved the monitor back ALOT and its bigger to make up the difference.

New ring, I smell someone getting a Hummer and possibly a new kid?????

SO the Powerdyne is now mine with a 7lb pulley for $1000???

HAPPY HOLIDAYSI'm what is called a "Heathen" -- not Christian, not Jewish, not Muslim -- not any of the major religions. Closer term is "Odinist" -- belief/spirituality linked to the old Germanic gods (Odin, Thor, Sif, Freya, Sif, etc.). It would be completely idiotic for me NOT to believe in Christmas. Where do you think the "Yule" season comes from? Christianity? Nope. Christmas trees? Ever seen an evergreen in Israel? I don't think so. St. Nicholaus/Santa Claus is a heathen figure adopted into Christianity. Was Jesus born on December 25? No -- he was born in the spring, but December 25 was the date adopted by the Catholic church WAY back when. In fact, the only things really Christian about Christmas are the name ("Christmas" broken down is "Christ" and "mas" -- which means "birth of" in Koine Greek) and the stories of the Nativity. EVERYTHING else about Christmas is taken almost directly from Germanic Heathenism.

Going further: the "Yuletide" is the time at the beginning of winter and was when the Scandinavian menfolk came home from overseas to spend the winter with their families (after a long year of raiding and exploring), so the Yuletide was a sign of welcome and happiness. A Yule Log was one that was large enough to burn for almost 24 hours and was used during the homecoming celebrations.

The idea of decorating fir trees also comes from Germanic tradition. Samhain (November 1) is a pagan tradition (from which we get Halloween) when the spirits of the dead roamed the earth and molested travellers. In order to avoid being bothered by these spirits, pagans wore grotesque masks and costumes to make the spirits think the travellers were spirits also. The Yule Tree (now known as the Christmas Tree) is a similar tradition. At Winter Solstice it is said that the spirits of those buried without ceremony or grave-goods or some sort wandered the world in search of recompense for their poor burials. They would break into houses and rifle through the belongings of the living -- often frightening the living to death. So, considering that Northern Europe is densely populated with fir trees, the people started decorating the trees outside their houses with flashy, but seldom valuable, trinkets as a lure for the spirits. The spirits would congregate to the decorated trees and leave the homes of the living alone.

Wreaths are another heathen tradition. The circle of evergreen branches symbolized time and was used to show that even though the old year was ending and the new year beginning, that time had no true beginning or end (except for Ragnarok), and was simply a never-ending cycle.

So, do I "believe" in Christmas? Well, not the whole "Jesus thing," but in everything else surrounding the season. We just call it Christmas to keep the Christians happy! It's called "choosing your battles."

LMFAO!

Yes Yellow, welcome to the site!

I am not any type of believer in religion, why, cause who is right and who is wrong. Besides all the wars ever waged were about each owns beliefs of some sort and that goes back to religion in some fashion.
Yes there must be a power greater than myself and thats as far as I am willing to go. If there isnt a power greater than myself, which could be refered to as god, well god help us, were screwed!!!
Christmas for me is a time in each year where the family can all get together and forget all this everyday life crap and enjoy themselves, share gifts and make it a real good kids day, which also applies to the adults. We dont go to church, we eat, some get drunk and we have the gift thing.

Thats why I shun away from topics on this site that are political in nature. People believe in things, thats a given and a natural instinct to do so. What are then beliefs, political affiliations and religion are beliefs and the begining of all conflict when 2 sides met face to face of different beliefs!

So:
I believe I will keep the site truck oriented!
I believe if I see political topics I will delete them!
I believe if I see any kinda of religous debate other than this semi one for Christmas, I will also delete them.
I believe in helping others with there truck problems and other things that may arise we share a common interest in!
I believe no matter what, death and taxes are imminent at all times!
I believe trucks are cool and fun!
If it was the old days, I believe I get another beer!

So now that Christmas is over no matter what your beliefs are, HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR IS NEXT!!

So now that Christmas is over no matter what your beliefs are, HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR IS NEXT!!That is what is called "Agnostic" -- from the Greek "A" a negative preclitic meaning "not" and "gnosis" meaning "knowledge" -- basically meaning "don't know." Good way to be -- avoids severe conflicts in a lot of cases.

Christmas SHOULD be every day of the year. . . Unfortunately, it isn't. . . The genuine emotion and good will are only around during the later part of the year. . . It shouldn't be that way. But, it's hard to change "the big picture" -- but just because it's hard doesn't mean we shouldn't try!
