Bad Shock?

Just replaced my front shocks on my 97" Jimmy a month ago and now I'm getting the same squeaking, rocking, and rough ride from the front driver side. I'm just assuming the shock was bad so I'm replacing it tonight, but I'm wondering if it could be something else affecting it and what else should I be looking at or replacing. Jimmy has 88K on it now, so I'm not sure if now is a good time to replace things like the bushings, bump stops, and/or anything else. Any suggestions or comments would be great, thank you.

the squeeking could be a bunch of things but the rocking/rough ride sound like the shock. ball joints and control arm bushings seem to go pretty often but i think they both make more of a popping noise.

Im not a mechanic or anything but check the bearings. Had problems in my pops crew cab lifted yada yada but it was squeaking and later find out its the bearing... In mexico! stranded lol
