It seems as the body mount on our trucks like to rot out. This makes the hole that the rubber passes through large, out of round and paper thin. When the cab was pulled on this truck, both front mounts were through the frame mounts.
I didn't bring any of the measurements home but you will get the general idea.
First up is the POS stocker that started life as 1/8".

This shows the outer portion cut off of the stocker. The new piece is 1/4" and extends all the way to the frame rail.

This show how the 1/8" x 1.5" was shaped. Just tack and bend.

Basically done. Just needs a hole. 2" BTW.

Looks good and stout. Did you use a plasma cutter?

Nope, I wish. Just a 4 1/2" angle grinder.

That must have taken some time. At least alot longer than a plasma cutter anyway. I've used a plasma cutter at work a few times. I wish I had one too.

Speak for yourself.. the faster I work the more I can get done in a short amount of time. I hate f-n around w/ something when it should have been done YESTERDAY! Guess that's what sucks about only have 2 days off, you can't work on anything past dusk, have to wait for your girlfriend to move the car that's blocking you in.. then listen to her ***** about being rushed, so you leave at 3pm to get there & it takes at least 1/2 an hour to get there... & then you come back around 6pm so you only had 2 & 1/2 hours to get done what should have taken 8... ***** *****..
