Ok, so I am gonna be able to score some firestones and michelins for cheep (also installing a roll cage for the firestones he he he) about 42 dollars a piece. they are 225 70 14's. (stock 14" inch rims, pimpin aint easy, but someone has to do it!) anyway. Im worried that the 225's will rub when I turn sharply. I am running 215's right now, and dont have a problem. It is a stock 2wd with no drop or plans to drop it anymore than an inch in the front. Im not worried about the back at all, i know that they will fit, and if not, well then i will tub the truck with a sawzall!! (not really) so other than the fact that I got incredibly sidetracked will the tires rub or not. What is the widest tire you guys are running on your 1st gens. (by the way, I dont want new wheels or "bling bling" rims, so dont suggest it. I like the looks of the rally wheels even if they are as big as the brakes on the new vettes)

i dont think they will rub. When i had my 18's.. i was running 225 65 18... and right now i have 235 75 14's and mine dont rub at all. If you want to check.. go to a tire store and have them put 1 on and then turn your wheels and check... most of them around here will do that atleast for no charge.

Actually, you should turn your wheels lock to lock and measure how much space is left between the frame and tire. I am running 245 50r16 on my ZQ8 with it lowered 2 in more, it rubs a little on the sway bar, so I don't think you will have a problem.
