unplug the battery and let it reset, the needles automatically fall back and rest on the pegs, then when you start up, it goes from there.... have helped a few friends do that...

sometimes that wont work IF your needles are too far past the reset "bump" they need...like the tach and speedo...in that case its just a matter of giving those needles a tiny up adjustment, as for the battery it should be at 12v with the key "on" and your temp make it even with the lowest setting...100..that is if it is cold...your oil should be started at around 40..gas..whereever you had it...hope this helps!

thanks. I tried disconnecting the battery but there are no stops for the 4 small guages. the spedo is wayyyy off. and the tach is about 300 rpm high. guess i just have to **** with it some more. I'll never do this again. it's a pain in the butt.
thanks for the help.

thats why it helps to draw a lil diagram where they were while the truck was on before you removed em :)

I measured them with a 1/64th ruler and apperently that didn't work.

thats why then, the engine has to be on while you take the measurement...not accurate if its off
