I have a dumb one. Where in the hell is the computer and how in the f@#$#@ do I get to it? I see the wires going behind the glove box. I pulled down the cover under the dash but can't see it. I looked inside the glove box and pulled that little door in the back still can't see it. I pulled the side panel in front of the door and it's not there. I would think it would be eazy to get to. I have a Jet chip in it and want to take it out.

It's behind the dash on the passengers side. There is one screw that holds it in, 7mm, on the bottom of the dash. Take that screw out and it should slide down.

The ac takes up all the room. Is it above the ac box? It can't be on the fire wall. With the shelf under the dash I can't see anything. I took off the panel under the shelf but all I see is the ac box. I see where the wires come in the fire wall but they go above the ac box. The glove box don't come out without a saw. This is so dumb it's killing me.

right on the bottom of the dash close to the kickpanel is a metal triangle flange that is held on with one bolt take it loose it should fall down with a lilttle help. its right on the front of the dash on the bottom in my 88 . mine is in front of the ac box you can see mine when you look under the dash its right on the edge of the dash.

You'll need to remove the trim shown and the heater core cover too, if I remember right... it has been a while. Then look up in there, it is tucked between the firewall and dash. You may have 3 computers there - the middle computer is the ECM, the one on the backside is the TCCM, and on the front is the small ABS computer.

See, I would have known that if my truck wasn't a base model. I'm surprized it came with tires.
