Just picked up an aluminum cover with the main cap girdle and need to know the preload. Also the torque for the perimeter bolt would be helpful.

25 in/lbs for the girdle &, I believe, it was 15-20 ft/lbs on the cover bolts.

IDK. But it seems like the alum cover would yeild more since its thicker on the perimiter bolts??? Maybe not?

Maybe 25 ft/lbs on the cover bolts.. that's what the spec sheet read & that's what my cousin & I decided to do just that.
