i found this article in "TRUCKIN" magazine quite awhile ago. I've also seen that Al from "WYNJAMMER" is working on something like the same set up but hasn't started selling it as far as i can tell from he's web site.
what I'm wondering is why don't i see more people doing this? i see a lot of 2114 mpi conversions. id guess the 2114 set up would have a greater potential to supply enough fuel for enormous amounts of boost.
anyone have any input?

I've seen someone add extra injectors in the intake tract right before the throttle body if I remember right. I think it was on S10 forum.com. The guy had a supercharger. Of course he had it reprogrammed.

It just bumps a thread back to the top where people will notice it that may have missed it.

adding injectors is a really good way to make up fuelling. Toyota actually offered an OEM 7th injector upgrade on their TRD supercharger systems for the 3.4.
there are quite a few people who have setups like this on 4.3's. the SDS one on wynjammer's page is not one they made, they're just reselling it. extra injectors are more expensive and complicated to setup than FMU's and they're less efficient than an actual MPFI system like the 2114 conversion. it requires welding injector bungs into the intake, plumbing them, running an external controller etc.
If i can't get enough fuel with using the FMU setup I have now I'll probably go this route.

i'm pretty sure the 2114 would be quite a bit more expensive but I haven't seriously priced either one. the extra injector controller (EIC) setup would probably be ~$600 by the time you got all the plumbing bits.
I don't know how much a 2114 conversion with all the associated parts costs but I have a feeling it's closer to double that. Dogsofjune would be the guy to talk to about that - I think he's the only guy on "the planet" with a 2114 MPFI.

cool, maybe he'll post up soon.
i figured the 2114 would be a bit more expensive.
it'd be nice if wynjammer started selling that set up that hes workin on, (that is at an affordable price). it'd take all the guess work out of it if it came with install instructions , 9# pulley and all the stuff to make it a bolt on application

I've seen a used 2114 conversion for $550.

Was that the one that was for sale on the other forum a while ago?
RPM has them listed for ~$600 but I think that's just the bare manifold.

you'd need injectors, fuel pressure regulator, plumbing etc.

i wonder what your average GM tech would think if they opened the hood and realized what they were looking at... I bet they'd be a little confused!

i ran extra injectors......infact i can get you a use kit with injectors for $275..the guy i sold my kit too never used it. i wouldn't do a mpi conversion for that little hp..think about the labor, cost of the mpi setup, down time, and price of tuning. if your forced and near fla. i can install the setup and tune the injectors in 2hours.

that's exactly what's holding me back. I may take you up on the EIC setup if the FMU isn't enough. I should know sometime in january when I get my blower back in

fmu is trash plus the eic will add 20hp or more over the fmu. has to do with the cooling effect of the fuel in the intake almost like alky injection.
