Seems like everyone I know that has an older S10 with square headlights drops butt loads of cash to update to the new 98-up headlights.
I have a 98 and wish I had a 97 cause I like the squared lights better.
Just wondering what everyone's preference was.

if you cant tell... its the 98+ for me. black halo projectors and black corners = sex. the top picture is one bad truck but not my style personally. not a big fan of the pre 98's (no offense!)

So are the projectors any good or are they like the old Honda ones? Meaning they are purely aesthetics not functionality.

Not a fan of second gens so I guess I like the square lights.

Seems like I seen a thread where someone was doing a HID conversion on projectors, but it was a Colorado. I def like the look, since my truck is black and I mean black [windows, steel wheels, 3rd brake light & grill].
I've been meaning to get the front indicators blacked out but haven't had the time.
There's a couple neat products, VHT Nightshades (http://www.trucknvans.com/NOW-IN-STOCK-VHT-Nite-Shades-p/sp999.htm) and now transparent vinyl (http://stores.ebay.com/MetroSellers-Vinyl-Express_Smoke-Out-Kits_W0QQfsubZ8409359QQfrsrcZ1)
that you can use to complete the look. I used the VHT on my 3rd brake light and liked the results but there was too much involved, sanding and such. I like the transparent vinyl kits now over the spray.

I like the late model sonoma front end but I'm biased :D . add the envoy bumper or the rare SLP xpress body kit FTW. some pics swiped from around the forums...

U stole that 1st one from me! Hehehehehehe:D
I like them all. I think they all have a very distigushable but unique styling that says GM.

late reply on the front end swap question, sorry. the mounting brackets are different between the sonoma /s10 front ends. I'm not sure what parts are needed but there are few required for the swap. do a search on the forums, I've seen how-to threads on the swap including parts lists.
This thread inspired me to do some hunting and I think I've tracked down an envoy front end like the one in my second pic in a local scrap yard. What do you guys think a fair price is for the bumper cover and fog lights (yard was closed today)? I priced a new one at the dealer and just the cover was $540!
I think it's black (see pic - is that black or blue?) so it may need some paint too but I really like the look of them. If it is indigo blue and that driver's side isn't damaged it'll be going home with me on wednesday!
