Offer wasnt meant to be an insult but rather a negotiating starting point. And, yes I do know how much they are. E-bay starting at $50 used all day long. The proper way to handle yourself in the 1st place was to politely say 'Im not accepting offers'. Not make a rash comment about something you know nothing about. I was returning the sarcasm with the ban comment. Ask anyone here and you will know that I am not the type of person as you say "if you want to show everyone how much internet authority you have" . I don't know. I've never been to a tournament. Usually the best time to go is when it's really hot and the water is down. That's when the catfish hole up and they're easy to catch.

yup stick your hand in a hole or a log and have it latch onto your hand or grab it by the gills if your lucky. Thats why i dont stick my hands in there. Seen some older guys come out of the water after a 30lb cat bit on and ripped the hide complety off his hand

That's the stupid way to do it. If you don't want your arms all tore up you put the stringer through the fish's mouth without pulling him out of the water. They usually don't fight until you pull them out of the water.

After thoroughly reading through this thread, I'm not sure about that. I'm fairly certain we have a couple members going catfishing, but I don't think we have one selling an MSD any longer.
