So as most of you guys know... I got a Tapco stock and such for the SKS. Well I put it all together last night and shot it today. This was the first time that it had been shot since my father bought it back in the 80's. Gave it a good cleaning when I disassembled it. Had to use some Gunk engine degreaser to cut the packing grease off of it.
All in all it is a good firing gun. I've never fired one before so I didn't know what to expect out of recoil but it doesn't have very much at all. I did install a buffer tech recoil buffer to keep the bolt from slamming into the back of the receiver. I don't know how much that really helped on recoil but it keep the metal from hitting... lol.
I'll take some pictures of it and post them.
