December 25th I ordered myself a Christmas present. Good thing I did, I got some wack qifts this year. Even my girlfriend gave me sweat pants and a Tshirt...:twitch:
Here is a pic from the EBay auction I purchased the hood from

Well it finally arrived today 1/07/08, almost two weeks later. And it's the wrong hood! Well, it's right that it's for my application. But it's the wrong style. I wanted the small valley in the cowl and I was shipped a cowl hood with the large valley. But **** it, I don't want to wait any longer. So I'll just live with it. The hood arrived flawless from shipping yet had a few dings from the stamping process to make the steel hood. So I filled & blocked the dings and now getting it ready for paint

In roughly two weeks she'll be done and on the truck... it'll have about a total of $600.00 in it for a complete color matched steel cowl hood

x2. i like the split look better on your body style truck more than the solid lookin one. it flows better with the body lines. that is a very clean shop. i wish i had one...all i have is a carport with a dirt floor...oh yeah...and ym buddies shop he owns that has a sky lift and every tool you need...hehe. might need it in the near future:)

Nice. Can't wait to see pics of it painted and installed. I really want a cervini's twin scoop hood. Will likely take a long time to save up to afford one with shipping and painting though :-[ They want $525 on their site and then around $150 shipping... plus painting.

I love the look of a cowl induction hood. I am thinking about getting one for my black Cameo, I have one on my white one. The 69 camaros and chevelles really looked awesome with those hoods from the factory!

looks sweet. I'd complain to the seller and see if they would give you a little money back or something. Kind've one of those "pain and suffering" type law suits.

Sweet. I like it...kinda reminds me of a IROC-type-ish vents. Maybe 91-92 Z28 blisters that were about that far apart. RU painting it yourself?

Believe it or not, the orange peel is intensional. Factory paint jobs have massive orange peel over entire vehicles, and since we're painting one body panel and not the whole truck we were trying to match the Factory orange peel.

Put the hood on during my lunch break today at work. Still need to battle about 100 fish eyes in the clear, even hair & dirt was trapped under the clear. So we'll see what happens...

Great pics...Awesome! My Company truck is an 03 Chevy 2500 6.0 liter. I like driving it alot. Gas mileage sucks 9 to 11 mpg 2wd! Yes company buys the gas.
Left side you can see the rear of the 2500 truck.
