my friend has a 95 s10 and he just got the front end off a new style pickup. he just got the grill and lights and stuff. I was just wondering if anyone has put the new front end on a 95, and how hard is it to do.

Not hard but you have to replace the rad support and bumper if you don’t already have it.

yeah I think he has those allready. the only piece he has to get still is the piece that goes between the lights all the way across the front with the bow tie in the middle. lucky bastard got the whole front end from his girlfriend for christmas. Its gonna be a while before he puts it on because about a week before christmas he fell a sleep driving hit a mail box and a metal pole. so now he needs a new fender, door, bed, and has to fix the side right behind the door (extended cab). it scraped the whole side of the truck if he was over alittle it would have hit the front bumper and he would have been fine because he has all the new pieces.

I have just about completed this task; the vital thing you need changed is the radiator core support, about $80, i got mine from a junked Jimmy. Then you have to remove the bolts on the fenders, get a buddy to keep the fenders pulled apart as you drop the support in, make sure everything is lined up as you bolt everything back together. You must get the newer core support and if you want less hassle, you are going to want a 98 wire harness. The core support changed when they built the last gen, it has the same mounts for the radiator and the same holes when you install the support, but you may need a cold air intake that doesn't connnect w/ the support, i think that changed, i'm still wiring up the new motor so i cant tell you that just yet.

you can get a new wire harness fairly cheap from LMC trucks
