So, I'm looking for a quick & possibly easy ignition source (key on = power/ key off = no power) hook up for my electric fan. I'd like to keep all the wires under the hood. I was thinking about possibly hookin it up to something in the under-hood fuse center but don't have a wiring diagram to tell me which one is the one I need. Any suggestions or help?

I assume you are using it to activate a relay for the fan.
If you want it to run from RAP (Rtained Accessory Power) which will keep it on until you open the door, the Dk Blue pin F3 at the underhood fusebox comes off the RAP relay.
If you want straight Ignition, than try Pink pin C1 at the PCM or its the same wire at the Coil. Pink pin A.
Test to verify with a meter.
Also, since you are using a relay for the fan, its isolated and a Bosch-style relay only needs about 500mA to activate. You could take an extra step and wire in a 5 amp diode near the coil to absolutely isolate the relay and coil. But you sholdnt have an issue.
FYI, the Pink wire if used comes from the fuse at the underhood fusebox labeled (ECM-1) and is a 15amp (blue) fuse. The RAP wire is from the RAP relay and goes TO the in-truck fusebox (RDO IGN) and FROM the underhood fusebox (RAP).

Any pictures of the fuse/relay center layout, so I know which is which? I know there's supposed to be a diagram in the cover. Also, since I think I'll go the RAP route, what are the colors of both wires? I should tap into the dk blue, correct? Thanks again.

Dk Blue is the RAP output and will be the one that keeps it energized until the door is open....like it does the radio. Lemme doublecheck after I get my truck back 2B certain. Should be getting it back tomorrow.
Relay kit looks good. Has a breaker.relay, realy harness, temp sender and should have instructions. If you need help on that, just lemme know.
Do you got that kit yet?

Yea, got the kit & did a few wiring terminations this afternoon after I got back from work so whenever I get around to puttin the flex-a-lite 210/220 (that's why I'm selling my taurus fan) in I won't have to play around so much w/ wiring it all up. The wiring diagram is the same one on that PDF link on Summit's page for the kit. I should be good.. only thing I'm lookin for is the fused 12v source.. which would be the RAP. I've got a pretty decent wire route/path since I'm going to put the relay & circuit breaker on the left side of the radiator support, behind the headlight. It makes a fairly straight path to the fuse center.. & I can use the same stud the 12v hook up from the battery is. Everything is nice & close, like it should be... except for the thermoswitch gettin threaded into the passanger side head. I should be alright once I can see WTF I'm doing. heh

Do you have pics of the Taurus Fan installed?

Never installed it. Got it off ebay used. Said it was tested & works.. I haven't verified that. ..guess that would be a 'no' to the pix. haha. Would you like to see someone elses install of the fan?

Here's the link to the Taurus fan install in the how-tos.. http://s10planet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4232

I thought I had a pic of it installed. But it's on a vette radiator in an s truck radiator support that's sittin on the ground. The vette rad is also in the forward position which requires some mods to the support.

I just want a fan that is inside the OEM shroud. I want to keep the stoock look. 2 thoughts. Place a fan against the radiator and make supports (I hate and will not use those crappy thru-rad fins zipties) for it. OR Get a fan thats the same size or nearly the same size at the opening at the back of the shroud (where the clutch fan sits) and mount it there.
Thoughts?

If you look closely you can see that the taurus fan is inside the OEM s10 shroud. You could also use a single 18" fan & put the OEM shroud over that.
