I finally put my lift spindles on my truck today, its looks good now I just need shackles for the back. I also ditched my sway bar, it has a smoother ride now, it has some more body lean but not to much. I also ditched the ABS because it's no good for the dirt.. Ill get pictures first thing tomorrow.

dang man that looks good. i like the nose up prerunner look and all, but i think it'd be better leveled out with the shackles. fabtech is the set up i'm lookin to get once my income taxes get done. what size tires are you gonna tuck under there?

Actually my plans are to remove the over load spring in my leaf pack and put shackles on. I should be getting the shackles sometime this week. And that dirt on my truck was from before the lift lol, but this morning i took it on a dirt trail at about 60-65 and it felt good without the sway bar on but the back starts bouncing everywhere when theres bumps.

Blazer69, I can get it dirty just fine with 2wd :D If you learned to offroad in a 2wd like me you know what you can and can't do. Ive climbed some hills that my friends told me i couldnt and ive gotten stuck on my fair share of hills. But ive never owned a 4wd the only 4wd i have ever drove is my dads land rover, so i dont really want 4wd.

Oh yeah and anyone who wants to put lift spindles on its really easy and not worth paying 100-200 dollars to get them put on at a shop. Oh and btw i got a good deal when i bought the spindles used for 200 bucks even and cleaned them and painted them, there usually almost 400 bucks new. Thats what i call budget lifting :)

That looks good, dude. Of course it will look at a lot better when you get the rear done. I had the opposite thing going on when I did mine. I was driving around with the lift on the rear for a week before I could get the front finished.

Did you get longer shocks? You might need to do that b/c you might end up maxing yours out. And do you plan on removing the sway bar altogether? does it bounce around when it's detached like that?

Thanks, no i dont need longer shocks, you dont even have to take the shocks off to change spindles, and yeah im gonna ditch the sway bar all together and no it doesnt bounce around it stays in one position.

dude you don't need 4wd to have some fun in the woods mand look at my picks wiht my truck my blue one is 2wd lift two inches and geared a lil differently my 2wd does better in the snow then my 4wd.

i ditched the sway bar on my 2wd afte ri lifted it i drove it for about a week with the sway bar and the felt really loose and actually had body roll on corners. after i took the sway bar off it tightened up a lot the suspesion flexes better and it doesn't have any body roll on corners its rides so much nicer. im behind ya all the way on loosing the sway bar boxcarracer

yeah did u get that from dezertdimes.com? im on there too, i like that dime too.

nope, i just typed in 2wd lifted s10 in google, and came across it. i go to dezertdimes sometimes to look at the pictures.
i just like seeing lifted 2wd's because it gives me hope for my truck, since i got people left and right sayin it's pointless to lift a 2 wheeler dealer.

did you put your shackles on yet?

it aint useless to lift a 2wd...you get to put bigger tires on it...and with the right tires and right know-how...you can go almost anywhere with a 2wd that you can with a 4wd...ALMOST.

I haven't got the shackles yet, but today im gonna go look at a used set of fabtech UCA's, 3" lift springs, front lift shocks, rotors, brake lines, and spindles for 300 bucks. Then ill just sell the spindles and anything i don't need to try to regain some money back. I couldn't let myself pass up this deal, so hopefully soon ill have 6 inches of lift in the front then soon the 2 inch lift shackles.

If you do that front lift, you might consider doing a rear axle flip. So how did that pan out?

Sorry I haven't been on that much lately, well the day i was supposed to meet the guy he called me and said he went to his storage and one of the guys he shared the storage with must have took the coils so he sold me the spindles and UCA's for 200 bucks. I got the spindles cleaned up and trying to sell them now.
Im not gonna do the rear axle flip because ive heard that eats up u-joints or something like that, and when I save up enough money im gonna go long travel and get some long travel deavers and keep it spring under for more travel.

What kind of condition are the Fabtech spindles in?

Too bad you couldn't get the coils. hopefully those parts work out well for you.

It has to be shimmed then the u joints will be fine.

i wouldnt use the "flip kit" because most of the time its just a plate that sits on the axle tube. what i would use is new weld on perches, and you just set the pinion angle when you weld them on.

There used, I cleaned them up and painted them so they look pretty new. I have calipers, rotors, dust shield, and abs thing to go with them also. IMO there in excellent condition. PM me if you're interested.

Yeah I wish i could of got those but oh well, thanks.

For the rear end im just gonna end up with longer shackles, longer spring hangers, and long travel deavers. Ill keep it spring under.
