Whats the deal with these things?? reading through some of the post... torsion keys and torsion cranking damage your truck even further... So what other way is there to lift the front of the truck? Spring spacers? I dont know alot about IFS.... The 2in superlift kit has keys and the same with rough country..also found this canadian suspension kit on ebay..not so sure about tht one.... and the 5-6in lifts are a small fortune....

found these two...

and - why would they make it for 2wd and not 4wd...idk

The torsion keys are a rip off, you just as well crank them and save money. What both methods do is create an extreme angle on the CV joints, ball joints, and tie rod ends up front and wear them out faster.

The only way to lift an IFS right would be a cradle. This drops everything down and keeps it all in factory specs just 3-6 inches lower on the frame. Rancho used to make a kit to do this but it has since been taken off the market.

http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f134/4x4-s10-lift-kits-272896/ for all the kits made
super lift seems to be the one with the lest problems.
They all have pros and cons with the IFS, best is gonna be a SAS but i'm not even sure I wanna go that far.

Sounds like you've already been turned off from the idea, but just to answer your questions:

The 4wd doesn't have traditional springs in the front--it has torsion bars. So that's why spring spacers aren't an option and why the 2wd lifts are very different from the 4wd lifts.

As far as deciding on a lift, decide on what size tire you want and go from there. Some people have really good luck w/ the lifts, and some say that everything gets torn up and it rides like crap. Every beast is a little different.

Not much more to say here except as for people tearing stuff up, alot depends on driving habits and the terrain you are in.
Deep mud or snow+ foot to the floor all the time= Breakage
Not to mention people cranking the front wheels to one side or the other and foot to the floor tends to break stuff too.
Lift or no lift, driving style can kill the toughest of rigs.

The option that seems best to me is the 6in superlift...I have yet to hear anything bad about it....then again I have been searching for a truck who has this installed that has atruck around my year range but yet to find one.... I just wish that 4x4 trucks came with front and rear solid axles...I have a 94 discovery back home that I love to death..its just not as reliable as the sonoma, and people say that IFS is much better for the "dunes" idk something about the whole prerunner thing... My goal for the sonoma was to make it somewhat like a safari truck...minor lift 31in maybe 32in tires....some fog lights with a front winch some good recovery points and one of those rag toppers for the bed or something of that nature... Am I dreamin?

I know I've seen some installed on cardomain. Take a look there.

Are you dreaming? You can make your truck whatever you want. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

All 4x4 blazers are going to have torsion keys. What you're trying to figure out is if they are after market, or if maybe they are stock but have been cranked beyond stock spec. My superflift ones say "superlift" on them; not sure if the rough country ones or other brands are the same way.

Why do you think that it has them, and why do you want to remove them? If you remove them, then you HAVE to put the stock ones back on. Your blazer wouldn't drive right at all without any torsion keys. Removing torsion keys is quite a process. If you're set on this, let me know and I'll find more info for you. You could instead just lower them down but if you do that, you'll probably need an alignment afterwards. To raise or lower them, you just turn the adjustment bolt on them, but removal is a totally different process. What tire size are you running? You could face trouble if you let it down and have some larger tires on it.
