hehe...people around here do it all the time. my che...i mean my neck. yea...that aint very christian. a buddy of mine had 2 15 inch kickers in his trunk with 2 1000 max amps adn he got rear ended, not enough to total it by any means, but enought for it to have to get a new trunk and rear bumper. he got it back and the first time it rained, guess what, the trunk filled up with water. so, now his box and amps are destroyed and the insurance company wont cover them...screw the insurance companies.

no need lol... my whole front end is gettin replaced... bumper, valance and grille assembly :p the adjuster even took into account the headlights seeing as the left turn lens was scuffed and had a hairline crack.. i jus have to buy the lights myself cause their aftermarket(hence having to pay only $36 instead of $250) he took off the difference for the lights :D

insurance companies wont cover amps and subs cameron. thats a personal liablity. Unless i guess if you could get some type of personal insurance on them but eh dunno really dont think they cover subs and amps

but i would think the body shop would do somethin about it since it was their fault cuz they didnt do somethin right and hte trunk flooded.

if i dont decide to jus pocket the other $214 i was thinking of a set of black housed projection headlights/turn lenses =)

thats also what i like about my insurance... i took my truck to their shop so all my repairs are guaranteed in writing.. if anything goes wrong with or because of the repairs its covered woot

he could maybe sue them but i doubt an insurance company wont pay for subs and amps. Thats a aftermarket feature you paid for and put in (that didn't come stock with the vehicle). and if a company put it in I doubt the warranty covers waterlogged merchandise from a trunk flood

that'd be probably the only thing they can do. But it could possibly be thrown out of court because like I said their a personal liability.

Sorry to hear about the wreck, however, looks like a good opportunity to get some upgrades.
And you know how you guys always say "guys like that give us good guys a bad name" ?? lol well women like that give us sane women drivers a bad name.

Even though it wasn't your fault, since you hit her, did you get a ticket?
And to continue in the spirit of thread hijacking, I think it really depends on the type of insurance that you have. It's probably a harder case to fight because it wasn't actually related to the accident. I know sometimes personal belongings in cars are taken car of by the home owners insurance.

Aftermarket stero equipment - unless you have it specifically named in your policy for coverage is NEVER covered by insurance in my expierence. Read your fine print folks.. i had 130+ cD'S stolen outa my truck and come to find out my fine print said that i was only allowed (per coverage anyway) 10 cd's in my vehicle.
MAKE SURE your audio system is covered specifically on your policy.. thats all.

with the insurance covering amps... yeah they wont cover it unless you have insurance on that. i know with my insurance i can get insurance on system stuff, after market stuff, and there was something else but its all seperate.

i 100% agree. there are alot of dumb airhead girl drivers out there. i was taught how to and always drive with guys and fast cars. i took after that i drive like a guy with a fast car, well truck, when it runs. funny thing is i have the slowest of them and i have the heaviest foot.

most insurance companies will allow you to purchase an extra amount of insurance for aftermarket parts...a buddy of mine had a crappy system in his 02 sierra insured it for an extra 3000 and jimmied his door and took the system and stored it elsewhere and reported it....in the end he got a seriously kick butt system.....and a new alarm with the remote startand everything

UPDATE ! Sry no pics yet... havnt had a chance to get hold of the camera at work yet... oh and it didnt cost me $36 for the repairs.... it only cost me $11 !! Apparently the wreck depreciated the value of my truck by $25 and the insurance actually cut me a check for reimbursement! LOL
