I thought i read somewhere about mixing lift components....? By this i mean; A-arms from this kit, but keys or mounts from this kit, blah blah blah. Any ideas which pieces are or would work the best for just doing a 2" suspension lift?
I believe it's turn the t-bars and then get Superlift a-arms....was that it?
I'm sure this was talked about before, but please bare with me. Very stressful day at work and the searching was frying my brain even more.
Thanks gang!

If you're looking for a kit--then just get a kit. The superlift kit comes w/ upper control arms, front shock relocation brackets, different tbar keys (which just aids in cranking the tbars), and the rear lift component--whether it's shackles, add-a-leaf or both. There are really only 2 different 2" kits for a 4x4--superlift or roughcountry. some other companies might make random components, but not kits.

I know that bowtieordie did his 2" suspension lift w/out an actual kit, but i couldn't find details on what exactly he did to get the lift.

What most people call a 2 inch lift is 1.5 inch t-bar crank in front and 2 inch shackles on the back

The way I see superlift advertise their lift most of the time is a 2" front/1" rear lift. they say this is because the rear already rides about an inch higher, so they level it out. then if you want more lift in the back you can to add a leaf or shackles--which ever piece the kit didn't come with b/c it would have had one or the other already. But that's just what I've read. The front lift will be dependent on the condition of the tbars and varies a little from one truck to another.

If you are going to do a lift I would do a 6" because I did a 2" or so in my truck and it rides like ****, and I have to replace all 4 ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, and now realized that both my upper CV boots are ripped all to hell which is a very expensive fix. But if you really wanna do a 2" I would definetely buy a kit with upper a-arms, or consider a body lift if you aren't a real big fourwheeler. If you have any questions just shoot me a quick email and I will get back to you.
