Hey guys. The dash on my truck is showing its age. I dont want to fill it, smooth it and paint it because I hate the look. I want to know how difficult it is to remove one (from a scrap yard). I will just paint it with some fusion, or another product. The guy at the paint store told me about some other plastic paint that is catching on in a big way here in manhattan where I live. So, I need the whole dash cover, glove box cover, but not the part that has the gauges on it. By the way, if someone has a dash for a 1st gen bravada, or a 1st gen dash that goes above 85mph and would like to sell it to me, shoot me a price. What should I pay for the dash that I want to buy at the scrap yard? I have no idea what I should expect to pay for it.

for what your going to go trough at a scrap yard to find one in perfect shape it would be easyer to order a new one. They'er exspensive , but not as much as you would thinck.

know to get a dash out at a scrap yard. easyest way in to remove the steering wheel, drop the colum. remove all the bolts, and screws. and cut the all the wiring.
to remove the dash from your truck it's the same, but you carefully remove the wiring. It's definatly a weekend project. It's not real hard, but the tight spaces will eatup allot of time.
