I ust to run a d7 for a pipeline companey. the d7 will beat you to death, but the d11 is supposed to has a pnematic seat and ac. They had a d11, but i never got to run it.
even with the smaller d7 it's pretty cool when you hit a stump and barly feel anything.
I started out on a little 310 doing driveways for a freind to make allitle extra cash and got hired on by a constuction companey that had a contract with unocal. If the industry hadn't diyed out around here I would still be cutting pipelines all over the contry.
if anyone is really intersted in learning to run a dozer try to get a job at a dirt pit as a matinance guy or a small foundation company as a helper for the summer. It's the hardest job you'll have, but when they start letting run the equipment it gets fun. I was getting $37 an hour and working 5 10s when i got on with connex.

thats cool....my dad's shop plows harley davidson plant by us and they bought him a snow melter...thing rocks big *** thing towed around by a john deere tracker....runs on diesel fuel and keeps the tank full of hot water.....then u dump the snow in and it melts and goes out a valve....walla no more snow...
