No go on dinner tonight dan. Went to the doctor and found out I have Pneumonia, so Im staying at my moms house for a little while longer. If the antibotics they gave me are any good Ill be back through on Friday

It's at the point where the kemo is whats keeping the cancer just enough in check to keep from overwhelming him.
Pretty much delaying the outcome. I'd be surprised if he makes it to the summer, but he's pretty stubborn still.

Hope the trip goes well DoJ. Well be thinking of your dad and hope hes able to find some comfort. Ive gone through that 2xs now with my Mother and my Dads Mother. Never easy.

My grandfather is still goin too, the doctors told us 3 weeks before christmas that he would be lucky it make it to christmas..proved them wrong eh?

He's had his up's and downs for quite a bit now. Since the start of the year it's been more down than anything. The moment they quit with the kemo, the cancer begins to spread with a vengeance. It's barely being kept in check now.
He now has Hospice available, and basically it's to try and make him comfortable at home, not really to continue with re-coupative treatment.
It is incurable, and cannot be fixed with surgery.
Right now it is a situation where he's taking avenues that simply delay his demise. Nothing more. Just living for the sake of living, even if it means in great discomfort.

Sounds callous I suppose. I guess I'm just biased in a way. I too have been thru this situation with other family members, and know what hardship's it creates on all those involved.

Plus I suppose, a few of my demons will go with him when he passes. It's time for closure of an old wound.
