to make a long story short i need a catalytic convertor for my truck. i have searched all over the internet for a direct replacement where all you do is cut you old one off in front of the cat and unbolt it front the cat back. all i am finding is universal cut and past cats of questioning quality. i need one that has the 2 botl flange already welded on. any of you know where i can get this?

When I was shopping for cats a few years ago, I didn't find any non-OEM type that had flanges. I just went with a Catco from eBay for about $30 and had it welded on. It works good, it passes TX cat-check (er, I mean emissions check), although barely at low speed cause I run rich at low rpms.

Looks like Catco does make some with flanges, never saw them before. Need something like these? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/catalytic/chevy~s10_pickup~1999~parts.html
I wouldn't recommend buying from their site, that's damned expensive. I just hit eBay and kept looking till I found the right size cheap.

Our store carries one for a '98 Blazer that is an OEM replacement. Not sure if they have one for your year, or if one from another year would work.

why do you need the flanges????

an exhaust guy can weld flanges on anything.

how maney miles do you have on your truck? the emissions carry a seperate warrenty from the truck. your 02 should still be under an emission waqrrenty inless your over 80K (or mabey it's 70K)
but to answer you quetion on where to get a cat advance, orilley and napa sell direct replasments for most cars and trucks. I know for sure that an 01-03 is a specail order part. the y-pipe all the way to the post-cat flange is one peise. In outher words you have to buy the whole y-pipe with the pre-cat and and cat(it aint cheap).
I had to have mine replased a while back, but it was under warrenty.

your not going to find anything listed but a U-fit and they won't fit yours because the y-pipe, precat, and cat are one peise(unless of couse you've had cat cut off and flanged for some reason)

How many miles do you have on your truck?
