labs are nice dogs... my lil' girl is so strong... when i first got her at 6 weeks she could grab onto a rope and i could lift her off the ground... she won't let go for nothing... I'm going have to teach her to heel. She knows a few commands now.

Good looking dog and a nice color too.I used to have larger dogs till I had kids.I know there are slim chances that they would attack my boys but any chance is to much of a chance for me to take.I work with a girl who's daughter was ripped up pretty bad by a Rottweiler.I think that had a lot to do with me getting rid of a Boxer I used to have.Don't get me wrong I love Pits,Rottweilers,Boxers, and other big breed dogs. But not while I have kids around. So now I have my big bad azz dog I named Ozzy. And big bad azz Ozzy is a Chihuahua lol.And if he was the size of a pit bull he would be one of the meanest dam dogs around LMAO!!And here is a pic of that killer dog growling at my son because he was acting like he was gonna smack me lol.http://www.sicgmtrucks.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=520&stc=1

I think that had a lot to do with me getting rid of a Boxer I used to have.Don't get me wrong I love Pits,Rottweilers,Boxers, and other big breed dogs. But not while I have kids around.
Boxers are good dogs around kids. My ex-wifes mother has one and if you look like your gonna lay a hand on my son that dog will be in your face. A friend of mine has 2 of them and he has kids. Both of his boxers are big. 1 is old and one is young. I love boxers. I wouldn't have any other dog. Great watch dog, their not dumb by any means, they are great with kids, most importantly, they listen. IMO
My ex-wifes mother also has a chihuahua and that thing is mean as hell. Very protective. It thinks its the badest dog around. Little mean a$$ is what it is.
I used to have two chinchillas, but they got into a fight and blood and fur went everywhere, and they were sent off to live with different homes (yeah they were little critters, but their two front teeth will chew through ANYTHING, and they are sharp as razors, think vorpel bunny from Monty Python, no kidding). It was hard, but it was for the best, and they are both very happy chinchillas now.
After a year, me and the wife couldn't stand not having pets anymore, so we got us a dog this time, here is our Keeshond:

Little mean a$$ is what it is.I agree to a point. My boxer was about the biggest wuss you ever saw and was just a big ol playfull lug.But even the slightest chance that he could bite my kids from them bugging the piss out of him was just one chance I couldn't take. The Rottweiler that attacked my coworkers daughter was a family pet that had never even barked at a kid.Just that one day things went bad wrong and that little girl is scared up bad.It ripped her top lip from her face and ripped a ear off.She almost died from the attack.Just a horrible horrible thing for a little girl to go through.Right after it happened the father of the girl went out and shot the dog in the head point blank.Again it might have never happen and a 1 and a million chance of happening but after seeing that little girl that is one chance I won't take.I still love big dogs and miss my boxer but not while I have little kids.

I don't blame you. Dogs are unpredictable. Especially that bread and some other viscious breads.
