I have a 2003 Extreme stepside and a 2002 GM S10 hitch but no adapter plates to mount the hitch to the frame. The reciever is off of a 2002 S10 LS..
Anyone know where to get some ???

Adaptor Plates?
Post a pic of the hitch that you have as I have an aftermarket one installed on my truck, but just drilled holes in the frame for mounting.
My truck is a 2002 xtreme

I am at work now and do not have any pics, but the hitch is a stock S10 hitch. It is a bracket that has 3 bolt holes in it where it is bolted to the hitch, andthe bracket is bolted to the top of the frame with the rollpan/bumper bolts..
I will try to take a few pics when I gethome if it is not raining...
Thanks

I do not have the bracket for the end that attach to the bumper and then the frame...
Pay no attention to the garage.. (Wife is getting ready for a garage sale so I lose the last room in the home I had)

Sux man. Looks like they marde a basic platform and then the adapter brackets for the ends.
Id contact the company tha makes that hitch or have someone fab it up.

I take it that the hitch slides on the inside of the frame rails. My hitch is a little different and picked it up for around 40 bucks on ebay....putnam hitch. If you could get those back two bolts thru the frame rail then I would just drill out some holes. Then if that front bolt extends out to far I would just drill another thru the side of the metal bracket that supports the bumper as I did in the pic below.

X2 for sliding in the frame. Looks like it uses the factory bumper mount holes.

When I got it I was just going to slide it in the frame rails and mark it. Then drill out the holes and use it.
The problem is that it is made for an S10 from GM, so to make it fill the 1 1/2 inch gap on each side I will have to find the S10 brackets or fab them up myself. Chevrolet wants more for the brackets than I payed for the whole damn hitch....

Oh, now I understand. It needs to be spaced out.

I am going to have my dad build me a few brackets so I can hide it behind the roll pan
