Pickle fork!!! Or get something to hold either the knuckle and or a arm and drive the other one away!! Still say pickle forKK
you really need a ball joint tool. The one I use is a homemade 2 pieces. one piece looks like a a piece of C channel(it is, but it's 1/2 welded steel). the other is a cup like thing(it's a seal press I drilled a hole in). you spin the nut down on the ball stud put the tool over the nut and under the lip on the control arm and back the nut off the stud. the presser pops the ball joint out. to replace them you put the over the hole run the new stud trough it and tighten down on it till the ball seats in the control arm.
u can buy a set ball joint tools fairly cheap or rent them from a parts store. If you buy them keep this in mind, it's a tool most driveway mechanics will only use a couple times so it doesn't have a high end brand like matco. the elcheaps should hold up long enough to do both sides.

Yeah the puller is better, but with the pickle you can use it for everything including a pry bar etc!!!

Thats why I work on my truck by myself. I don't want to be responsible for hitting somebody with a flying tool out of anger and fustration. The way they make **** these days, (so its a P.I.T.A. to do the work yourself) will really piss someone off. :banghead_ :furious3: :furious3: :furious3: :furious3:

Someone got it!!! KInda like a roll of duct tape, has many uses. And make sure its a Craftsman, cause they'll take any tool back NO MATTER what it was used for!!!
