Removed the "Bug Guard" Added Baja Fog Lights (Small Crack in the Cover....Were Free Though) Duplicolor spraypainted paint chips lol


Me and my Father replaced Balljoints and Tie Rod ends...Dont have many pictures of that

Mine was the same front end, but I had the "billboard" bug guard.

In addition to removing that, repaining the grille and bumper, I also removed the lower air dam where the tow hook cut outs are, not only does it look better I dont drag it when mudding anymore.

I'd like to replace the grill, its faded and cracked down the side, very small crack, I wanna get a chrome one or repaint mine jet black..just an idea

Looks good. Hope your upper ball joints have the lock washers or thread locker. Mine didn't have either, notice 2 bolts missing while lubing the front end.

The grille is easy to do, I used a self etching primer then a flat camo black, even took the bowtie out and painted it white and cleared it all.

Something about chrome on an s10 that doesnt sit right.

That grille looks sweet. I think Ima go with that instead. So heres an update. Going to primer the hood today. Just the hood though. I want to see if I can do it, if not I'm going to have a friend of mine help me out with it. Hes probably going to help me out alot with a bunch of the body work. The cool thing about this project truck is im still using it as a daily driver. Probably by tuesday or wednesday I will have the whole truck primered, but this depends on my funds. I Have a lot of stuff I gotta pay my dad for...I get paid today but i can see half the check going to gas....3.40 a gallon :eek: ! The rest will go to my dad, Next thursday my friend is paying me 60 bucks I sold him a Lawnmower lol...Was gonna make it a racin mower (How bangin would it be to see a lawnmower with a 350??? lmao), and yes thats what us bored rednecks do down here lol, Race mowers. So when he pays me I'll be buying a bed liner (Also have to repair a few cracks in my bed this weekend, I'll put pics up this afternoon) Im thinking about using "Herculiner". Its do it yourself and looks profesional and its really strong. Better than a plastic liner but cheaper than Line - X. Any opinions on Herculiner?

I can't speak of the quality of herculiner, but I'd go spray in over the plastic ones.

X2. I have a spray in bedliner. It was already on when I bought my truck, so I don't know what brand it is.

Get a bed liner, My camino was done in 87 when rhino lining was first breaking out, got it done at the del mar fair. First one ever done for public, was thick still in the truck today.

I am going to doing the spray in for my undercarriage and bumpers/fender flares like the 2nd gen above.

The do it yourself stuff works great, Herculiner is good stuff, Just prep it very good and you wont have peel problems.

My grille is bone stock chrome tahoe stuff. I just used a black self etching primer, black camo paint and polyurethane clearcoat. Im going to redo it again if I get the time this weekend. I got some body panels to replace then I can work on the cosmetic crap.

Id check your local yards for a new bed. Might be easier then fixing that crack. I dont do body work as you can tell from my rig.

Got some shackles and a T-Bar crank (got a total of 3 Inches out) Now on 31x10.5x15 tires. Only rubs when Hittin big bumps, Doin a 3 In Body Lift soon.

Dents in Wheel Wells are from a 4 Wheeler, Buddy Got his truck stuck in a Pond! (Did you know toyota tacomas cant float???) But yeah He decided to get a 4 wheeler to go back there n try n pull it out...it didnt work and i wasnt gonna bring the s10 back there, we had to get a buddy back there to pull em out.
