I bought a 91 2 door 4x4 blazer a while ago and have been fixing stuff on it left and right. The 4wd didnt work so i changed the vaccum acuator switch,it didnt fix it... so i changed the transfer case switch and that worked... it has been working fine for a few months and then it stopped working. The lights on the floor would work sometimes but the 4wd always worked(even though the lights didnt) once i got it fixed the first time. Recently i have changed my starter... and also adjusted the linkage on the automatic transmission (it would shift into park all the way so i adjusted it and got it to go into park correctly). 4wd has not worked since i fixed these other problems... could the starter replacement or linkage adjustment effect the 4wd operation??
I hope you guys can understand what im talking about?
Thanks,
Matt
Double check the vacuum lines running to the t-case switch... could be that you bumped one of them while you were under there fixing the other problems.

Have you replaced the vacuum lines yet?
I did the same 4x4 repairs when I first bought my 92 same model.
I opted for the posi lok a little while ago but the t case switch and the actuator switch were brand new, it worked then it didnt, I replaced the vacuum lines and it worked great again.
Is Posi loc the cable operated diff engagement? Do you like it? Do you know if it would it work with a pushbutton T case?

I dont see why not, the push button is the electric motor part of it, not the vacuum front diff part.
I fabbed my own, it cost me 30 bucks all brand new parts. Same thing push/pull locking throttle cable, some flat stock and some beer.
I like it better then the vacuum system, not as much as manual locking hubs.
I like the idea of fabbing your own, they ask over $200 for the kit. Fabrcation is our friend!

IMO it isnt worth more then 50 bucks as a kit. The mark up on **** if rediculous these days, some as much as 900%.
I got mine from a guy out of ontario canada, was 20 something USD shipped.
Can you snap pictures of your set up at all? I'm very interested in this mod.

I cant promise anything, I work alot and have two toddlers running around, to be honest it wont be until atleast next weekend if not the weekend after. I need to readjust mine a bit and cut some rust away so it quits squeeking when I drive.
I ran mine thru the center console. under the floor shifter for the t-case, thru the factory hole in the firewall( passenger footwell) anchored it down every 12-15 inches and used a cable connector to connect the two cables together.
Its completely hidden and easy to access.
Ill get pics asap, ill clean the mud off the set up so you can see it better.
I understand the toddlers. I've worked with them for years, AND have one of my own, not to mention another kid and a teenager. No problem, I appreciate it. I like the idea of it being hidden.
