I my upper hose came appart twice last Friday at the spice that Al sends with the kit and I lost all the antifreeze both times. I have it doubled clamped rigth now but I was wondering if any body has come up with a 1 peice hose to replace it.

i used t-clamps to clamp mine.with those normal hose clamps i had a small leak.
u can find the shiny pretty flex hose at jegs or summit. i was planning on do it when i get a e-fan though so i can route it differently.

Yeah, you need basically a way to clamp the extention tube to the upper radiator hose right?
Those T-clamps are probably the best bet.
But another idea is to go to an exhaust shop. Have them flare out the end of the metal extention tube just a tad about 1/4" from the end. Very little, and take the hose to veryfy its still able so slip over the end. Slide the hose past the flare and clamp behind the flare. That should help it to never come off by itself.

Looks like I cut mine about 2"~3" farther back towards the engin. The splice sets under the intake tube. So far the double clamps are holding

You may have gotten to much of the curve near the split and that's causing it to slowly work itself out.

I've used the standard clamps that came with mine, but I torqued them down real good and tight.

I still want to relocate the hose to run infront of the engine though, it's just too cramped over in the current location.

dont u have a e-fan Red? man if you got it on get one of those fancy radiator hoses and route it like D-caf is saying. or like Dogsofjune has his. thats what i plan on doing if i can every afford a e-fan. im still saving for motor mounts. fan is next. maybe this will work?

i dont know for sure what will work or what youd want but theres pages of different hoses and t-stat housings. so im sure you can find something thats looks good in your engine compartment.

Thanks for the info. I just lost my Altennator and it looks like it streched the belt. 12sws27 you put a shorter belt on yours what size was that? did it work better?

i used pn#4061073 gatorback. but only cuz the one Al sent was slipping. if yours aint slipping then i'd stay with the same size. this one i got is real tight. its a bit of a pain to get on. i wish there was a size in between. if there is, i sure as hell cant find one.

12sws27 found a 107.5" belt at Advance Auto parts. It's a Dayco Poly Cog. Part number 5061075 6PK2730. Seems to run good and the tensioner is in a better position.
