View Full Version : Painted my nitrous bottle

Hey everyone,

I put this in the exterior section because I have the nitrous bottle mounted in the bed

I have a N.O.S. Sniper wet EFI kit on my 04 Silvy, and the bottle they ship in that kit is a hideous orange powder coat.

So I stripped it down with a gasket grinding wheel and intentionally went heavy with the grinding pattern.

Than I painted the bottle with a transparent Duplicolor Metalcast Anodized blue. These pics are without clearcoat, thats currently curing now.

It's not extravagant, no airbrushed flames or skulls are anything. I wish I had that kind of skill. Although I debated painting the NOS logo on the bottle, and decided against it.

now the bottle is in the freezer for the next couple hours before I fill it up.

You could have done a pattern, I did flames on my old hood when I prepped it for paint. :)

I did some rough flames, I didn't have the knack. So I ground over them.

a friends just made me a carbon fiber sticker... now we're pushin in the rice. haha. But still, a friend makes it I might as well use it

Sheit the Sniper kit is N.O.S...... oh well they shoulda painted it the right color. lol

That looks really good. That would be hot with that machine turned look where there is a whole bunch of circles ground in side by side. And seeing there is no bed cover I take it you take the bottle out a lot. LOL
