More baffles.

Probably a deeper sound.

Flowmaster list both as having lower int resonance than the Original 40 Series. But the case on the Super 40 is larger which suposedly goves a deeper tone.

I have a Super 40 with 3" inlet and dual 2 1/2 out and turn downs all set in the factory location. It sounds great on the outside but I can still enjoy the tunage. Really makes people look. It has the deep V-8 tone. Also, all my mods have been geared towards getting more in the engine; so the large diameter really let the engine loose. Way better midrange.

Forgive my ignorance tybrackman84, but I didn't know how to respond to the PM correctly. My truck is a little loud inside. I blame the fact that I only have turn-downs at the rear axle. With tailpipe(s) it would be quieter. My amp takes care of the stereo issue. Most of the time I just listen to FM 4.3L anyway.

X2 I like to listen to that when Im off roading or want to hear my tires.

Which would give you good sound and good performance if off-roading? I heard they only give you top end power (HP) than low end (TQ).
I want to have as much power available when I want to get up that hill.
