Looking at an 00 s10 and had a quick question.

The guy said he had only 1 real problem with the car, being it only has 43k miles on it and on accident was a minor hit in the rear. The problem was that his fuel gauge doesn't work, now to me that seems like an easy fix but then he says he took it to the shop and they said the only way to fix it was to get to the cat and something else. Does this seem right to anyone else?

I'm not sure what catalytic converter would have to do with the fuel gauge.

All you have to do is drop the tank.....

Check the ground on the frame near the sending unit/tank.
