s10 warehouse is saleing a zq8 frame brace...said it came on the zq8 to stiffen the frame...bolts under the front of the bed...? never herd of it myself but ok..:confused:
is this true ?? and if soo is there anywhere else you could find one ??

It is true - from what I've read you need to remove the bed to get it in though. I don't think there's a huge market for them, the only place I've ever seen them is s10warehouse.

Indeed. remove the bed and its a bar that attaches the frame rails together at the raised bed mounting brackets.

Short answer = It would do more on a second gen short bed frame then a first gen frame because of the factory boxing.

I picked up this brace at the local dealer for $35. I chose to install it to complement the rear sway bar and higher spring rate front springs I installed. The bed was off anyway, so the install literally took 15 minutes. There is a handling improvement, especially on uneven cornering when the rear really wants to twist. I would only consider installing it if other suspension upgrades are added at the same time. Otherwise, it's not worth taking the bed just to install the brace only.
