I am trying to remove a cylinder head plug to swap in the temp sensor. I can't seem to find a driver this size to remove it., any sources? I tried shaving a grade 8 bolt down to fit but it twisted. Plug is in there tight!
my tool box? seriously i don't know if i have one that big. i would check sears tho, they have a pretty good selection.

Sears has them but the last one I had to get they ordered, wasn't a normally in store stocked item.

I made one. I cut a 3/8" extension down on 2 sides until it fit.. I needed to pull that NPT out, too.

no time no money...not one of 5 diff parts stores or sears had them. We ground down a grade 8 bolt and rounded it off shortly. Finally Got an extractor in a square 5/16ths shank....used the base in the plug w/ a vise grip for a handle. This also allows a lil room to whack it with a BFH to loosen the plug while twisting. NAPA 8.99 for the single tool. Friend who can miss your hand w/ the BFH...priceless.
