I have a 97' Blazer 4X4 and was doing the upgrade to newer year Dual Piston calipers. I got the complete knuckles off a 2000 ZR2 Blazer and was under the impression everything was a direct swap - untill I tried to attach the rubber line from the new calipers to the stock hard line on the frame. It's a NO GO. My stock fitting must have been a 3/8"-24 and the female end on the rubber line is 7/16"-24. Can I just go out and buy a brass 3/8-24 female to 7/16-24 male adapter and make the connection? Will it hold up to the pressures ok or do I need a special adaptor? This is killing me because I need the truck for friday evening and this is the only thing holding me up! :shake_125

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Do I need to get an adapter with the inverted flares to match up with the brake lines or will the regular fit of the threads on a standard brass adaptoer seal all that pressure from the brakes? This is my safety we're talking about here =-))

I did find this place but I kinda need the stuff now, helps give a visual of what i'm looking for though - http://www.fmsiinc.com/brake-line-fittings.htm

I'm thinking of the #3232 3/16" tube 1/4" tube (7/16" - 24 thread) male Brass Brake Line Adapter...

It just figures, whenever I need the truck for something and I have a little work to do on it before I need it, something like this comes outta the blue and really roughs up my feathers.........

why not just reuse the original brake hose??? It should work fine unless its too short or something to that effect
