trouble code question....

last night the service engine soon light came on, i havent been able to get ahold of my friend and borrow his code reader. i just dont get why it poped on all the sudden, humm maybe the sonoma didnt like the drop lol

i got ahold of my friend today and we put the code reader on the sonoma to find out what the service soon light came on.. heres what it said "malfunction exists in the secondary air injection system".. could this be from the stock air box mod..

No. Secondary AIR is the emissions stuff. What year is yours?
There was a new replacement part for something on AIR equipped s-series that was notorious for being faulty. I think Heather (cevybrat) had a similar issue and replaced the part.

the secondary air injection system in the later s series had a steel tube that If I am not mistaken either rusts or plugs with carbon. That would be a good place to start, but it could also be the pump itself. What is the code number?

its a 2001 sls, i think the code is "P0410"
