so i havent had a/c all winter since i got my blazer last fall, no big deal it was cold. Now its summer and its very hot, now a big deal. When i put it on a/c at all the compressor just doesnt spin at all. I checked the fuses for everything and they are all good. Anyone can help that would be awesome.

Have you checked the freon level? If its low, the LPSwitch wont allow the compressor to turn on.

X3 Autoparts should have a refill kit. Very simple to use, even I can do it. Comes with a guage and everything you need. Be sure to put the oil in it too.

i tried converting it to r134 and everytime i tried to fill it it would go to danger right away but the adapter had a messed up pin and i dont think it was pushing the other pin so it was just filling up inbetween the adapter and the old nozzle. But what im getting at is you're saying if its low it wont engage?

Thats right. You need to check the freon pressure.:D They may check it free at the autoparts store...not sure tho.

You can buy a pressure gauge pretty cheap.

or you can just jumper the pressure sensor. (located on the accumulator, the big metal can) un plugg it and stick a paper clip in the end that comes off, if the compressor comes on then its low on pressure, if not, other issues.

Just don't leave the jumper in there very long.

ha ha, right. Looking at a minimum 100 dollar investment for a manifold gauge set. Thats the only right way to check pressures. The cans are junk, and the little gauge you get doesnt tell you anything. Ive seen a/c's blow 10deg warmer by being even as little as a quarter pound over or under charged. Ive said it once, ill say it again. A/C work should be left to professionals with the correct tools. The crap cans at the autoparts stores should be illegal

I agree but, it will tell you if you're low on anti-freeze or not.

Before you go waste your money on freon you need to find the leak. A/C systems dont "use" freon, if your system has no freon then you have a leak. 100 dollars is fairly reasonable for something you can reuse to avoid pricey A/C mechanic.

What year is it. If it uses freon and not 134 whatever it is , you wont even be able to connect to the port to fill it up. I have to fill mine up from time to time when I go with out using the A/C for awhile. If the presure is going way up in the danger, its because there not enough refrigerant to cut the compressor on. Once to comp. turns on the pressure with drop. And the 134 will flow through the system. The compressor will cut on and off till you get enough in there so it will run constantly. Just make sure you have all your windows down doors open and A/c on full blast. That way the compressor doest shut off and continues to take the refrigerate. If you dont feel safe about the gauge going in the red, then before you start to fill it up unplug the wire plug from the accumulator, and bridge the 2 prongs like was desribed in earlier posts. The compressor should come on then. Then start to fill it up. Since the oil for the compressor is in with the 134, the compressor wont run unless there is a safe amount in there. So you dont burn up the comp. Its there to protect you compr. Its only dangerous if you fill up the system from the wrong port, the little gauge will only plug to the right one. (high/low side? i forget) You can also buy a A/C manual from the auto parts store. If you wanna learn a little about it. I have a set of the big a/c gauges I got for about $70 from Advanced auto. But I prefer to cheapy one that come in the kit cause its faster and easier. The cheapy one dont last very long before they start leaking though. You do have to becareful you dont get any of that stuff on you, it will cause frost bite. Just use a rag or something so it doest get on you skin incase the gauge or ports start spraying the 134 out.
