Does anyone know of a site to go to, to type in your VIN and see all the specifications of your vehicle? I want to get a gear set and locker but I don't know the requiried info. Or if they are the same can anybody tell me? I need the size like 8.5 or something, spline count, I guess thats it. I know I can probably call the dealer but I was wondering if there was a site. I tried GM but didn't find such.

open your glove box and write down all the codes go on the internet and fins the defintions of the rpo's and that will tell you every thing taht you will need to know

I did that before but it doesn't tell me 8.5 or spline count.

Look directly at the rear-end. Compare yours to these pics.

if it is the 7.6xx it should have 30 spline axles. I think they stopped using 28 in the early 90's. I could be wrong here though (and probably am)

they stopped useing 26 splines in 88' but 89, 90' had some leftovers. after 1990, all 7.625 had 28 spline axels.

Glove box codes.

No G-80, no 8.5 and all then 4.3's have a 7.625
