I just got a 1982 S10 with good body, bad engine 2.8 I think, and I also have a 1981 Isuzu Diesel rust bucket, fame eat up body gone, engine and 5 Sp trans good. want to put diesel in S10. I have read all I can find on several forums about doing this, but most of them are going to a later model S10 or Isuzu Gas. Was hoping someone could help with info on motor mounts and trans mount, not sure what I need. I know Chev put this engine in the S10 1983-1988. Have not done a swap out like this before, can handle the Electrical.
thanks for any information
freddie

welcome to the site, go with the Isuzu Diesel that would be cool for a Diesel s-10 you could pull down some great fuel milage

Welcome to the planet from North Alabama (Cullman). I thought that there was a guy on here that had an S10 that did a swap similar to this.....not sure. I don't even know what you would search for. I do remeber that the truck was a 1st gen and that it was white. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
