HIDALGO, Texas A 19-year-old Georgia woman faces a detention hearing Wednesday in Texas on federal drug smuggling charges.
April Marie Elisea of Lawrenceville is accused of smuggling about one-point-three (M) million dollars worth of heroin and cocaine into Texas from Mexico.She's charged with importation and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.Customs agents found nearly eleven pounds of brown heroin and 14 pounds of cocaine in the rear seat and bumper of the car Elisea was driving from Reynosa, Mexico.
