let me tell you whats up.
I drive a 91 S-10 and put plenty of miles on it, so I ended up cracking one of the stock wheels. Instead of just replacing it, I decided to get a nicer set of wheels without doing anything drastic,(didn't want to, and couldn't afford it anyway). So I went from the stock 14 inchers to 15 inch steel wheels. They look good, maybee made a small difference in handling, but.... heavier so MPG's are down, braking distance is up (no good).
Obviously going to an aluminum wheel could help out here, but cost is a big issue so I guess my question would be multifaceted.
First, what is the lightest wheel available that would work for a street application? 14 or 15 inch hopefully by 7 and not 8, I don't need the grip.
Second, what would be the most cost effective option to overcome my weighty woes?
