OK, so heres the deal.
I got this Handspring Visor Prism PDA. Bought the thing new way back when. Used it flawlessly for a few years and then it became not so useful to me in business due to a change in my leadership role where I was working. I still used it as a addy book and a few other things. So it pretty much sat on my desktop. Well at some point I put it away in a box in the file cabinent and forgot about it.
Over a year ago I came across it, powered it up after a charge and started to play with it. Worked great.
I decided to E-Bay it. Put it up and it got alot of hits. After 7 days it sold. Shiped it off after I got payment and the guy recieved it. He messaged me a few days after it arrived and said it was starting to freeze up. He thought I knew it was a bum unit, but I assured him it worked here just fine. After we went through some procedures on resetting it and such, it died totally.
I refunded him his money after he shipped it back to me for varification. I felt bad, so I gave him the return shipping cost also. Between me and him it was all good.
I bought a new battery for it I think and put it on charge for the time it needed. It fired up and worked for about 10 minutes B4 it started to freeze. Then after I did a hard reset, it froze entirely.
So I put it aside and forgot about it once more.
Now I came across it and thoght of selling it as a parts unit or a fixable unit. I fired it up yesterday and it came on to the startup screen. I was able to do all the navigation functions and everything. But it showed a low battery and I put it n the charger. After a minute on the charger, the backlight of the screen just lights up and stays on. And its dead. Reset, no light, no screen and dead.
Now, with all that being said....Is there anyone who wants to buy such an item to fix themselves??
IDK if anyone here has interest in fixing up stuff like this. Its a bit more than I care to dive into at this point.

The Prism was the Color Screen version. Touch screen, expansion slot, I have orig case + wallet case and a whole assortment of additional goodies for it.
Expansion port allows for stuff to be added. It can be made into a GPS color screen unit (Magellan used to make it), it can be made into a Cell Phone, Digital Camera, Extra Memory (used to have an SD adapter port I sold seperately already), games, Modem, Ethernet, and all kinds of stuff. Other than a game and the memory port, I never bought that stuff. But I hear its all still availible here and there.
I wanted to use it as a ODB scanner and reader and dyno. Nology makes that cool device for it ( 440 001 061 ).
But anyways, if someone here wants it to fix,just leme know. Im not giving it away, but Ill sell it cheap.
