Interior Panels

The middle lower panels in my 1984 s-15 Jimmy have a cloth, upholstered inlay, that is glued to a piece of plastic and clipped to the main interior plastic panel. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to take these clips off, without damaging them, so that I can replace the cloth.

Also, what type of glue would you suggest using when replacing the carpet that goes on the rear interior trim panel?

If the clips are the ones I'm thinking about you have to cut the clips to keep from screwing up the panel. I'm prolly wrong tho.

As for glue use 3M super 90, it might be the easiest for you to get ahold of. I know lowes carries it. Stay away from super 77 its not heat rated and will come loose esp in hot southern summer weather.
