View Full Version : 140.9db
So i took my pick um up truck to a db drag this weekend, and i hit a massive 140.9 db! damn near smoked my sub, but that is what i got. Put this ricer with probably 3g's in system to shame!! Im sorry I dont mean to toot my own horn, but im just so proud of myself. If you dont think that is that great, look at my sig, and also know i bought my stuff in 99.

I was never a fan of stearo upgrades because they add waight and I just like to lisson to the exhaust. But good work anyways, another win over a ricer.
I always said that I would never get into the car audio thing, but when I realized that either of my trucks wern't gonna go fast, I figured I could win somewhere else. Car Audio thing just kind of popped up. I agree about the weight, and if i ever get anything fast, you had better believe that nothing is gonna go in it or on it that is un-necessary.

not too long ago there was a stereo war around town.... i happened to "stumble" on up there to see how things were going.. I guess they were in need of some contestants because they asked me... a ****ty stock looking blazer to enter. I said hey... what the hell... first place get 500 bones. My competition was 2 acuras rsx's... a honda prelude... nissan maxima.. and a nissan pathfinder. With my 2 12" jvc comp subs... and a 1000W kicker amp... and 54x5 sony xplode digital flipface deck... i pounded out a 152.9.... and won. I was shocked myself... these imports must have put all their money into the fiberglass enclosures instead of a stereo. oh well.
As for the weight... yes it does add more... yet it isnt hard to take stuff out for one night of racing at the track and stickin it back in in the morning... just my opinion.
fiberglass boxes are way overrated unless they are completly necessary. I got that 140 number with 1 10 and 325watts
