I love it. It reminds me of the tunnel ram & dual edelbrock 500's I had on my 454 in my 69 chevy longbed

I was in the local dump one day with my dad a long time ago (I was only about 17 and I'm 41 now). Anyways, they had lined the "road" through the dump with 55 gallon drums to direct you to the section of they dump they were currently filling. My dad says to me, "Did you see that manifold on that barrel?" I replied, "what kind of manifold? An intake manifold? An exhaust manifold? WHAT??" he said it was an intake manifold so I jumped out of the truck and went back to look while he went to dump his load. A little ways back I found an aluminum dual quad intake manifold sitting atop on of the barrels. I had no clue what it was for, I only knew it didn't fit a SBC or BBC. I went up to the guy in charge at the dumped and asked how much for the manifold. He said, "A Buck" to which I replied, "A buck? Like $1 or $100???" He told me $1 dollar so I handed him his money as fast as I could dig it out of my pocket and went to claim my new prize.

It actually took me a few weeks to identify the manifold. I talked to a lot of local hot rod enthusiasts and mechanics and everyone was stumped. The only clue on the intake has an embossed square with 4 letters in it. The top two were D C and the bottom two were P D. I finally found someone that knew that those letters stood for Direct Connection Parts Division. So I headed to the local Chrysler dealer to see if they could identify it from the remaining numbers. Turns out it was a factory dual quad, low rise intake for a hemi.

I ended up trading the intake for a 67 Camaro RS with no drivetrain in it. The car had almost all of the available options for that year including the hide-a-way headlights, the deluxe interior, AC, PS, PB, console mounted guages, etc. Unfortunately I was too young and inexperienced to do the resto work the car needed and I sold it off after a while, but boy wouldn't I like to have that car back now with the knowledge and talent I've accumulated since then!

He was asking if anyone had cut down a TPI to fit the 4.3.

I wonder if one can still find used IRL parts for the Olds Aurora V-8?
