When I'm finished up with the engine swap, I know I'll be at more cruise ins and shows. My hood will be up.

And currently my Alpine IVA-w200 DVD player is nice, but the screen is a bit small for my taste. Especially when trying to do any multiplayer stuff with the PS2.

So I had this idea to mount a hanging monitor from the reverse tilt hood brackets. hang it while parked, remove it before closing up. I'll need a stronger hood support than my screw driver ;)

I want a thin monitor, and everything I was finding inthe video world was anywhere from $200-$600. Yikes! My idea isn't worth that much, than I remembered I know of several places I can get 17"-19" even 22" thin computer monitors from businesses that have closed & shut down for cheap if not free.

And if the computer monitor doesn't have RCA inputs all I really need to convert the RCA out from the W-200 to the computer monitor is this inexpensive plug adapter.

I could run the power for the monitor off of the power inverter currently used by the PS2... or if the monitor is like every other computer and uses 12vDC I can try to bypass the power supply

It's a thought, we'll see what happens.

it would work OK....having to put it up and pull it down might be a pain if you are running late. But done right, it could look like it belonged there...
Good Luck, post pics when it happens...maybe a wee vid...:cowsleep:
